4 February 6.30pm | Year for Prayer Guest Preacher Series
This Sunday we welcome the first guest in our Year for Prayer sermon series. Dr Gemma Simmonds will be preaching on the theme of Ignatian prayer.
Gemma is a sister of the Congregation of Jesus and a senior research fellow at the Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology, Cambridge where she teaches pastoral theology and Christian spirituality. She has worked as a spiritual director and retreat giver, training candidates for religious life and ordination in the Catholic and Anglican churches. She is a regular religious broadcaster on BBC radio and has published extensively in the areas of spirituality, religious life and ecclesiology.
Sunday 11th February 6.30pm | Evensong & Curry
Drive away the winter blues with a post-Evensong visit to the Punjab Curry House on Neal Street. Our last outing proved very popular, so please contact the Rector if you plan to attend, so we can predict numbers.
Tuesday 13th February | Pancake Party
To mark Shrove Tuesday, the Rector will be hosting a pancake evening at the Rectory to which everyoe is invited. All the necessary savoury and sweet options will be provided and guests are invited to bring a bottle to help the party go with a swing.
Friday 16th February 6.30pm | Beer and Theology
Rev. Phillip Dawson will be giving a talk on the BCP and attitudes towards liturgy across the worldwide Anglican Communion as part of the "Beer and Theology" series in the Diocese of Southwark.
